Please note that many family names have a variety of spellings, such as Wodham and Woodham, Pearse and Pearce, Clisdel, Clisdale and Clidsdall.

Consider alternative spellings for everything! If you are looking for trades, note that you may find "plumber" often spelt "plummer", or "maltster" spelt "malster" in 18th century documents.

3rd April 2016: Legion d’Honeur Presentations - The presentation of the Legion d’Honeur to local veterans: Bert Harrison, Viv Long, Bill Bailey, and Richard Pullin (son of the late Bob Pullin), all introduced by Jack Williams. Honoured guests attending were Martin and Virginia Crane, Michel and Micheline Guignaudeau, Susan Hofgartner, Angela Logue (chairman RBL Berkshire County), Lt Cmdr John Manners DSC RN and Ron Tarry (ex RAF parachute trainer during WWII).
