You are in [Places] [Churches] [St. Lawrence's] [Monumental Inscriptions]

This article is about the Monumental Inscriptions on the many tombs in St. Lawrence's churchyard.

For information on the mural monuments and plaques within St Lawrence church itself, see Church Monuments.

In 1987 Mr A D Field (37 Kiln Ride, Wokingham, RG11 3PN) and Mrs Betty Clark (10 Tarrants Hill, Hungerford) prepared a record of the Monumental Inscriptions in St Lawrence's Churchyard. This was published by the Berkshire Family History Society, from which the following records originate. The records must be used in conjunction with the accompanying plan produced by Mr Field (see Plan of past monuments in St. Lawrence's churchyard). The original includes a name index.

The following index along with the index slips and map of the Churchyard dated 15th November 1987 is prepared as taken from existing stones in the Churchyard and from a record book prepared by the late A.T. Finch, Esq., of St. Anthony, The Croft, Hungerford, and now deposited in the HHA Archives.
