We know little yet about this school.
The earliest record yet found was in the Reading Mercury 8th July 1811 which announced "Hungerford. Mrs Humfry's School will re-commence on Monday the 29th inst.".
The 1830 Pigot's Berkshire Directory advertised it as Mary Humfrys, Ladies' Boarding School, High Street.
We do not yet know where this school was in the Hign Street.
